[{"content":"","date":"1 August 2026","externalUrl":null,"permalink":"/categories/","section":"Categories","summary":"","title":"Categories","type":"categories"},{"content":"Last updated: August 1, 2026\nThis Data Processing Agreement (\u0026ldquo;DPA\u0026rdquo;) forms part of the Terms of Service between Tech Forge Rocks LLC (\u0026ldquo;RedirRocks\u0026rdquo;, \u0026ldquo;we\u0026rdquo;, \u0026ldquo;us\u0026rdquo;) and the customer (\u0026ldquo;you\u0026rdquo;, \u0026ldquo;Customer\u0026rdquo;), and applies wherever we process personal data on your behalf in providing the Service.\n1. Roles and scope # For personal data contained in visitor requests that the Service processes to evaluate and perform your redirect rules (\u0026ldquo;Customer Personal Data\u0026rdquo;), you are the controller and RedirRocks is the processor. For data we collect as a controller (such as your account and billing information), our Privacy Policy applies instead. This DPA applies to the extent the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, or comparable data-protection laws apply to that processing.\n2. Subject matter, nature, and purpose # Subject matter and duration — processing of Customer Personal Data for the term of your subscription and until deletion as described in Section 7. Nature and purpose — receiving visitor requests and evaluating them against your rules to route traffic to the correct destination, and providing related Service features, security, and support. Types of personal data — online identifiers such as IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and browser information, request headers, query parameters, cookies present on the request, and timestamps. Categories of data subjects — visitors to the domains and links you configure. 3. Our obligations # We will:\nProcess Customer Personal Data only on your documented instructions, including for transfers, unless required by law (in which case we will inform you where legally permitted); Ensure personnel authorized to process the data are bound by confidentiality; Implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures (Section 5); Assist you, taking into account the nature of the processing, with your obligations to respond to data-subject requests and to ensure security, breach notification, and data-protection impact assessments; and Make available information reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance and allow for audits as described in Section 8. 4. Sub-processors # You provide general authorization for us to engage sub-processors to process Customer Personal Data. Our current sub-processors are:\nSub-processor Purpose Primary location Amazon Web Services Cloud hosting and infrastructure for the redirect engine United States Cloudflare Network, content delivery, and security Global Stripe Payment processing United States Resend Transactional email United States PostHog Product analytics United States We impose data-protection obligations on each sub-processor no less protective than those in this DPA, and we remain responsible for their performance. We will give you advance notice of any new or replacement sub-processor and a reasonable opportunity to object on legitimate data-protection grounds.\n5. Security # We maintain technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption of data in transit, access controls and authentication, network protections, logging and monitoring, and periodic review of our security practices. Further detail is available on request.\n6. Personal data breaches # We will notify you without undue delay, and in any event within 72 hours, after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting Customer Personal Data, and will provide the information reasonably available to help you meet your own notification obligations.\n7. Return and deletion # On termination of the Service, or on your written request, we will delete or return Customer Personal Data and delete existing copies within a reasonable period — and in any case within 90 days — except where law requires continued retention. Data held in backups is deleted on its normal expiry cycle.\n8. Audits # On reasonable prior notice, and no more than once per year (unless required by a supervisory authority), we will make available the information necessary to demonstrate compliance with this DPA and allow for and contribute to audits, subject to confidentiality and to not compromising the security of other customers.\n9. International transfers # Where Customer Personal Data is transferred out of the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, the parties agree that the applicable Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum) are incorporated into and form part of this DPA, with RedirRocks acting as data importer. We apply supplementary measures where required.\n10. Your obligations # You are responsible for the lawfulness of the Customer Personal Data and your processing instructions, for having a valid legal basis, and for providing all required notices to and obtaining any required consents from your visitors — including for any cookies or similar technologies used on your domains.\n11. Redirect configuration — the domains, source paths, targets, and conditions you set up as part of your rules. Billing information — where you subscribe to a paid plan, billing details are collected and processed by our payment provider (see How we share information). We do not store full payment card numbers. Communications — messages you send us, such as support requests or feedback. Information collected automatically # Usage and device data — information about how you use the dashboard, including browser type, device type, pages viewed, and actions taken. We use PostHog, our product analytics provider, to help collect and analyze this information. Log data — server logs that may include IP addresses, request timestamps, and referring pages. Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep you signed in and to remember preferences (see Cookies). Visitor request data (processed for our customers) # When a visitor\u0026rsquo;s request passes through a customer\u0026rsquo;s configured domain, the Service evaluates it against that customer\u0026rsquo;s rules. To do so, we may process request attributes such as approximate location (derived from IP address), device type, request headers, query parameters, cookies, and the time of the request. This data is used to determine the correct redirect and is processed on behalf of the customer who owns the rule.\nHow we use information # We use the information we collect to:\nProvide, operate, and maintain the Service; Evaluate redirect rules and route traffic to the correct destination; Create and manage your account and authenticate you; Process payments and manage subscriptions; Respond to your requests and provide customer support; Send you service-related communications, such as security alerts and account notices; Monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and security of the Service; Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues; and Comply with legal obligations. Our legal bases (EEA/UK) # Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:\nPerformance of a contract — to create and manage your account, provide the Service, evaluate redirect rules, and process payments. Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain, and improve the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and send service-related communications, balanced against your rights and freedoms. Consent — to set analytics cookies and to send any non-essential marketing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests. Where we act as a processor on a customer\u0026rsquo;s behalf (for visitor request data), the customer is responsible for establishing the legal basis for the processing they instruct.\nCookies and similar technologies # We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the dashboard, keep you signed in, and remember your preferences (such as light or dark appearance). You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect how the Service works. For a full list of the cookies we use and how to manage or change your consent, see our Cookie Policy.\nWe do not use the dashboard to serve third-party advertising.\nHow we share information # We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:\nService providers (sub-processors) — with vendors who help us operate the Service, who may only use the information to perform services for us under contract. These currently include Stripe (payment processing and subscription billing), Resend (transactional email such as receipts and account notices), PostHog (product analytics), Amazon Web Services (cloud hosting and infrastructure for the redirect engine), and Cloudflare (website hosting, content delivery, and network security). Legal and safety — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RedirRocks, our users, or others. Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. With your direction — when you instruct us to share information or make it available through your use of the Service. Third-party destinations # The Service redirects visitors to destinations that our customers configure. Those destination websites are operated by third parties and are governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of destination sites.\nData retention # We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. In particular:\nServer and request logs (including IP addresses and request metadata) are retained for 30 days, after which they are deleted or aggregated. Account information is deleted within 90 days after you close your account, unless a longer period is required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. You authorize us and our processor to charge your payment method for all applicable fees. Renewals. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. Cancellation. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Unless required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Changes to fees. We may change our fees. We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or take other action as we deem appropriate.\nReporting abuse and takedowns # We take misuse of the Service seriously. If you believe a redirect created with the Service points to content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, or otherwise violates our Acceptable Use terms, report it to abuse-report@redir.rocks.\nPlease include in your report:\nThe RedirRocks link or connected domain involved (the redirecting URL); A description of the problem and, where relevant, the destination the link points to; Your name and contact information; and A statement that your report is made in good faith. How we handle reports. We review reports promptly. Where a violation is likely, we may disable the redirect, suspend the rule, or suspend the account — with or without prior notice, depending on the severity and the risk to others. Where appropriate, we will notify the customer responsible for the reported redirect and give them an opportunity to respond or fix the issue, and we may restore a redirect if the report is shown to be mistaken or the issue is resolved.\nCopyright (DMCA). For claims of copyright infringement, send a notice to abuse-report@redir.rocks that includes: identification of the copyrighted work; the RedirRocks link or destination you believe is infringing; your contact information; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law; a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on the owner\u0026rsquo;s behalf; and your physical or electronic signature. The customer responsible may submit a counter-notice.\nRepeat infringers. We may suspend or terminate accounts that are the subject of repeated, valid abuse or infringement reports.\nYour content and responsibilities # You are solely responsible for the domains, redirect rules, destinations, and other content you configure (\u0026ldquo;Customer Content\u0026rdquo;), and for ensuring you have the rights and authorization to use them — including control over any domain you connect and its DNS configuration.\nYou are also responsible for providing all legally required notices to, and obtaining any consents required from, visitors to your domains — including for any cookies or similar technologies the Service reads or sets on your domain in order to evaluate your rules — and for maintaining your own privacy and cookie notices.\nYou represent that your Customer Content and its use with the Service comply with these Terms and applicable law. You retain ownership of your Customer Content. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and use it solely to provide and improve the Service.\nData processing # When you use the Service to route visitor traffic, we process personal data contained in visitor requests on your behalf and on your instructions — you are the controller and we are the processor for that data. This processing is governed by our Data Processing Agreement (\u0026ldquo;DPA\u0026rdquo;), which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and forms part of them. The DPA describes the nature and purpose of the processing, our security measures, our use of sub-processors, how we assist with data-subject requests and breach notification, deletion of data on termination, and the safeguards we use for international transfers. If there is a conflict between the DPA and these Terms regarding the processing of visitor personal data, the DPA controls.\nIntellectual property # The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding Customer Content), is owned by RedirRocks and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Service. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.\nThird-party services # The Service may integrate with or rely on third-party services (such as payment processing, email delivery, and hosting), and redirects send visitors to third-party destinations. We are not responsible for third-party services or destinations, which are governed by their own terms and policies.\nSuspension and termination # You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or if we discontinue the Service.\nUpon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.\nDisclaimers # The Service is provided \u0026ldquo;as is\u0026rdquo; and \u0026ldquo;as available\u0026rdquo; without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that redirects will always be delivered without delay or fault.\nLimitation of liability # To the maximum extent permitted by law, RedirRocks and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.\nTo the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).\nIndemnification # You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RedirRocks and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your Customer Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.\nChanges to these Terms # We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the \u0026ldquo;Last updated\u0026rdquo; date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.\nGoverning law # These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The state and federal courts located in Florida will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes, unless applicable law provides otherwise.\nMiscellaneous # These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and RedirRocks regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
